MicroAlgal Process Evaluation Lab

A research and teaching laboratory in the department of Oceanography at Dalhousie University

Our Research Focus

Our research encompasses a wide range of topics related to microalgae. We use bio-optical techniques to monitor abundance, classification, and photophysiology of microalgae. Our applied studies focus on optimizing production and assessing community structure through bioremediation of waste, pigment analysis, and productivity modeling.
