Teaching Focus

MAPEL has a strong focus on teaching, professional development, and fostering research skills.

We have a long-standing relationship with the Dalhousie Integrated Science Program (DISP) through which we take in first year undergraduate students and involve them in a project happening in the lab. We use the mentorship triad method to allow lab members to mentor incoming students.

MAPEL DISP Program

5 generations of MAPEL DISP students attend the 2025 Cameron Conference
